So today, I was on my way to Supercar Sunday and figured I might as well throw the GoPro with suction cup on the windshield, just for the heck of it. I didn't feel too confident with the suction cup, so I tied it the mount to the passenger side windshield wiper, just in case...
Well thank god I did. While traveling at 70-something MPH, the GoPro came off, smacking against the windshield. That piece of twine held the GoPro on until I got off the freeway and took it inside.
So there's my story of luck, foresight and GoPro-idge.

That's surprising. I've had mine suction cupped to the side fenders upwards of 140+...

This is my absolute fear when I mount my GoPro. If I want to record myself driving, I usually find a backroad and pull over before I mount it.
